State of
Inclusion Report

AWIC conducted an industry-wide assessment to gain a clearer understanding of the current landscape surrounding this issue. The study was based on a survey completed by a non-random sample of over 500 individuals from every continent. It measured five key metrics of employee well-being and analyzed them across various demographic variables—including race, gender, and sexuality—to identify potential disparities in well-being scores among different demographic groups.

Unmanel Your Panel
Campaign

In March 2024, the Association for Women in Cryptocurrency (AWIC) globally launched its #UnmanelYourPanel initiative on International Women’s Day. Announced on the main stage at the Japanese Financial Services Agency’s FIN/SUM conference in Tokyo, the initiative swept the globe for a full 24 hours, with more than 100 male allies in the crypto, blockchain, and web3 industries pledging not to speak on “manels” (all-male panels),  industry conferences pledging to have at least 30% speakers or no manels, and the launch of a global inclusive speaker directory that featured more than 150 women.

We want to see a world where gender-balanced panels are the norm, fostering an inclusive environment that values and amplifies women's voices across every industry. We envision a future where every professional event reflects the diversity of the global community, driving innovation and progress through equitable representation.

The forums will also provide access to the latest news and developments affecting cryptocurrency, blockchain, and web3, as well as play a key role in educating and informing on the role funding and investment can play in a diverse asset-allocation strategy.

AWIC will never provide investment, tax, or legal advice, but hopes to improve education about digital assets, blockchain, web3, related products, technology, and services, and private equity offerings in this space.
